Microsoft Certification in 2026

Microsoft continues to retire older certifications and replace them with more specialized, role-focused credentials. Legacy certifications like MCSA, MCSD, and MCSE were retired, replaced by dynamic, role-based certifications that evolve with cloud technologies. Professionals should prioritize certifications that align with specific job roles—Azure Administrator, Power Platform Developer, Security Engineer, etc.—as these will remain current and valuable.
