About Me
Ridi Ferdiana, born in Cirebon west Java. Ridi's get his basic education in Cirebon, a small city in Indonesia. During his high school education. He participated in several Competition like Olimpiade Fisika, Olimpiade Kimia, and several group competition like Cerdas Cermat for Science. Starting in SD Kartini 1, SMP Negeri 1, and SMA Negeri 1 Cirebon.
In 2004, He finished his bachelor degree majoring in Electrical Engineering Gadjah Mada University. In 2006, He finished his master degree majoring in IT at MTI Gadjah Mada University focusing in Client Application development at . Starting in the middle 2008 He started his doctoral degree majoring in Software Engineering and Software Architecture.
Careers and My Dream
Survivor Era (2004-2005), I started my careers in IT industry as Java Developer. Started by building Mobile Application for vertical industry. I walk my dream as a mobile developer. During the era I joned a Satoewarna a potential IT company who focused in Web Application for academic market. During this era I joined SUN IForce partner a well known program which is integrated all of the Java ISV in the world
Evolution Era (2005-2007), In this era i meet a lot of friends from a community called INDC (Indonesia .NET Community).In 2005 I selected by David Lim as Microsoft Student Ambassador for ASIA Pacific with all my other fellows. During the evolution, i work as a coach for many Microsoft Indonesia Activities such as Academic Skill Accelerator, Bina ISV, and others Community events. In January 2007 i selected by Microsoft Corps. as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. In this era i started my lovely career as a motivator for bachelor and master student, Gadjah Mada University gave me a great opportunity to learn, share, and get in touch with research atmosphere. Am i lecturer? not really! i learn from the others and share with the others..that's it!
Two Point Zero Era (2007-2011), In 2007 January Microsoft Innovation Center is developed as a join venture between Microsoft and Academic. I joined Microsoft Innovation Center as as Technical Strategist. Working in MIC give me alot opportunity to collaborate with many enterprise company. During that time I joined ACM (Association Computer Machinery) as a professional member, and fall in love with research in IT and Software Development. During that time i also got several certification like MCTS, MCPD, MCITP, MCT, and MSITA Program Member Awards from Microsoft CEO (Steve Ballmer). In my spare time i'm writing in enterprise sections in Infokomputer and several journal column at Microsoft Architecture Journal.
The Version Three (2011-Now), in July 2011 i'm finished my doctoral degree, in the same month i'm also migrated from Technical Strategist to Plaform Strategist for Microsoft Innovation Center. I majorly focus in academic and industrial research. You can see my research activities at here
